Kicks LA recently unveiled a new store location in Los Angeles. To spread the word of the opening, Kicks LA teamed up with Orange and mega-popular shoemaker Converse for the launch party and to market Converse’s “Made By You” brand campaign. The concept: Everyone who enters the store (during the launch day) can leave with a custom designed poster from our ever popular studio booth. Instead of having store visitors and guests get their picture taken, we shot their shoes instead!
Along with on-site designers, anyone who arrived at the store with a pair of new (or old) Converse sneakers could get them photographed. Once the image of the shoes were taken, the designers added on graphics, logos, and a personalized signature of each shoe-owner.
The end result was an 11×17″ poster, printed directly from to our on-site printers. Each poster was a unique representation of it’s owner. The goal was to capture the essence of the shoe-owner through their Converse and it really turned out well! Check out some of the poster’s below.
