Currently up on the second floor of SFMOMA is a small exhibit documenting the teen mural project advised by (atrium artist) Kerry James Marshall. The teens, all from Oakland, conceived and painted the mural over several weeks this summer with the help of Kerry, teachers, local artists and various other adults. The exhibit includes a video piece, sketches, and photographs Orange took at various meetings and painting sessions. This awesome mural’s final home, I believe, will be Defremery skate park in West Oakland.
