Gene X Hwang

As a co-founder of Orange Photography, Gene has photographed an incredible breadth of subjects, from Presidents of the United States to movie stars, Olympians and Nobel laureates. He loves the challenge of event photography, where every day brings something new and the lack of control keeps him on his toes.

“I still approach my photography with more of a documentary angle.”

That may trace back to his childhood dream of becoming a journalist. Gene stays in the background and never intrudes, and his college nickname, “Stealth,” still fits whenever he’s photographing.
