Ah models…
Real models make our jobs so easy. Tonight we shot an event for Nordstrom with designer Dana Buchman and there was a runway show staffed by some models from San Francisco. Some people say models are overpaid, but when you work with good ones, it helps to make everyone look better…
Camera Gear of the Rich and Famous
Salesforce.com CEO Marc Benioff started chatting with me about camera gear tonight and I found out he has a 1Ds which seems to be the camera of choice of the well heeled. A top Democratic official I spoke with at a political event also shared that he too had a 1Ds although he didn’t quite know how to use all it’s features.
and hair again…
So my good friend Stacey Miller (a great stylist at diPietro Todd Salon in Union Square) had her soiree and I surprisingly found myself in her slideshow – but she was the subject of a photo that I entered into the 7×7 Magazine Bring on the Night contest a year ago that was selected – so it was only fair…

His next film is called “Inside Man” and stars Denzel Washington, Jodi Foster and Clive Owen. Here’s Lee with local Bay Area filmmaker Kevin Epps who we featured in our inaugural SF Faces show.

Getting Ready…
So our first show at our new space is getting pulled together and it’s a bit crazy over here. Tomorrow we’re going to be participating in First Thursdays as a kind of warm up for Open Studios this weekend, and then we’ve got a private party we’re hosting the next week. Things have been crazy with several of us traveling for shoots, etc. so the place is a bit of a mess right now…
coming home
Traveling for shoots can be a lot of fun, but sometimes you miss home, and when home is San Francisco there’s a lot to miss. This morning I had to get up super early to catch my flight since I had a wedding to shoot back in SF when I arrived so it was nice to wake up on the flight and peer out the window of the aircraft and see a familiar sight…
In the presence of greatness
One of the perks of our jobs is being places we might not otherwise be. That was the case this past Wednesday night when I shot the 2005 San Francisco Symphony’s Gala. Not only was our very own Michael Tilson Thomas conducting the symphony, but famed cellist Yo-Yo Ma was performing as well.
