AdAuthority Launch Party

Last night AdAuthority had a party at Slide that packed the club. DJ Scotty Boy flew in from Las Vegas to spin and there was dancing breaking out all over. Lotus Vodka was poured for the ladies complimentary and everyone seemed to have a great time. Ad industry folks definitely know how to enjoy themselves…

Girls Day at the Boys and Girls Club

It was just us girls at the Boys and Girls Club of San Francisco event Saturday. They’ve created a fantastic clubhouse complete with pool tables, computer lab, photo studio, darkroom, and silk screening. The girls were really showered with attention by all the volunteers. Was great to see and document.

The other Olympics…

So while the Olympic torch was stashed away for Wednesday’s torch run, and a rally was held at United Nations Plaza to support Tibet, there was another event going on in the same spirit of the Games… the Arby’s Olympics – held at San Francisco’s only Arby’s in the Outer Sunset. Film (analog) and the romanticism of vignetting

One of the things that’s obvious with digital when it first came out was the lack of vignetting (unless you were using a really crappy lens or toy camera). Having shot tons of models on beaches and such it was fun to see that Taco Bell has a new promo out called Direct Daniella which lets you play the role of SI swimsuit issue photographer. It’s kind of a neat concept and maybe it’ll let folks have some idea of what it’s like although it’s never quite the same as in real life!

Event photography collage for Exxon Mobil

We shot a conference for Exxon Mobil this week and one of the things that’s always nice is to see the photography leveraged in presentations to the audience. This is a shot of some of the images we shot the day and night before as part of a wrap up presentation. People always enjoy seeing themselves and we’ve done a lot of events where things like this are produced and it’s always a hit.

Photo booths with on-site printing

So we do a lot of photo booths at various corporate, private and social events. This was a shot taken at the San Jose Museum of Art this past weekend. We had two stations set up to take portraits of couples for a private party and in a separate room we had our printers set up. People as usual started to relax and have more fun with the booths as the evening went on and we actually [...]
