9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-1789Conference photography is something I really enjoy doing.  Professional photography services like shooting conferences and conventions might be seen by some as boring or tedious, but we shoot a lot of them here at Orange and they can be both rewarding, challenging and educational.  After all, you get exposure to different markets you might not have otherwise had, which is a general perk in event photography overall, but with conference photography you often get to shoot interesting keynotes and amazing entertainment too.

Recently we shot a conference here in San Francisco which had the perfect mix.  We photographed keynotes which included educators, researchers, politicians and even Wimbledon winners!

A beer pouring robot – yes! ?

Of course there was a lot more to photographing the conference, and as any professional photographer knows, it’s key to capture all aspects of the event. Important things to focus on include getting branding into shots so you know the context of what the photos represent.  This can be used for marketing and social media by the conference and can be valuable in selling the conference in the future too.9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-0485

Good candids of people enjoying the conference are key as well as showcasing everything else on offer. You want to show the great networking and educational opportunities and give a general feel for what the conference can offer.corporate event photography 9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-1238

As a special event photographer it’s also fun to capture people unwinding.  This concert featured two big names in Carlos Santana and A.R.Rahman and you can see that the attendees were having a blast!9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-1405 9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-1447 9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-1471 conference photography 9286_InfosysConfluence2016_GXHRAW-1728 Corporate event photography sometimes finds you in surreal moments too.  Here’s two Wimbledon winners: Pat Cash is making faces at Stefan Edberg who’s trying on a VR headset – never could I have imagined that that’s what I would be photographing last week 🙂
