I have to say that one question you get a lot of is “What camera should I buy?”
I’ve seen this question posted on numerous message boards as well as our email inboxes time and time again. While we use professional digital SLRs, we don’t generally use the digital point and shoot compact cameras as much so we don’t have as much experience making recommendations in that arena.
However, one that I’ve personally used and own is the Casio Exilim EX-S600 which I like a lot. I originally picked up a Canon Powershot SD400 but didn’t like the form factor as much. Since we use Canon DSLRs, I do have a bit of loyalty to the brand, but for size and ease and quick startup I went with the Casio, which the ‘red’ option actually looks kinda orange as well. (Note: you may want the more recent version of this camera, the EX-S770, although this particular model is what I own).
For the best set of reviews and comparison tools though, go to DPReview. They’ve got really in depth reviews and lots of ways to find the right digital camera for your particular needs. The reviews can get a little too in-depth for many, but just jump to the conclusions and also see what other users have said.
