I hadn’t heard about Lynne Cox before we shot this event for Tufts at AT&T Park but she has an incredible story and is the second world record related event/person we’ve shot this week. Among the many records she created or broke, in 1987 Lynne became the first person to swim across the Bering Strait as a way to open the US-Soviet Border for the first time in 48 years with a time of 2 hours and 6 minutes. It was incredible to hear about her swimming in 32 degree water and seeing clips of her experiences. She’s also a best selling author so check out her books and more about her on her own website!
