Lately I’ve been out at Shine quite a bit. This past Saturday night after shooting the Branson School class of 1996 reunion I headed over there to see my friends spin for their Angels of Bass party. Made some new friends, had a few drinks…blah blah blah…
So I was glad to see New York Times columnist David Pogue write up something about the whole megapixel race and why it’s overhyped. As professionals we often get asked “How many megapixels is that?!” and usually people are expecting some huge number that eclipses whatever camera they are using. However unlike some things, size doesn’t matter beyond a certain point and Pogue’s article illustrates this as will his upcoming special on the Discovery Channel about the [...]
You can check out the piece which aired today on the ABC website as part of The View from the Bay and see what kind of tips we gave over the air.
Last night Orange was on hand at 7×7 Magazine‘s Bring on the Night photography award and benefit party (SF Camerawork was the beneficiary). We also talked to KGO News 7 about photography – the segment will air Nov. 15th as part of The View From the Bay.

He was off the clock, but nevertheless was mobbed by fans throughout the evening. ODC Dance performed during the evening’s festivities and reminded us of the rich creative talents we have in the city. So go check out some [...]
Working in the hospitality and events industry we come across a lot of interesting stuff. Ice bars seem to be the trend in corporate parties, green screen and on-site printing are also popular, and for holiday parties and weddings, I’ve seen the customized MMs here and there. If you are planning something and haven’t got ideas for snacks to have around they are a pretty cheap and fun way to go.
SFist, a “website about San Francisco” comments on Catherine Bigelow’s Swells column and featured some Orange shots from a party we recently shot and blogged about.
Tonight I shot a nice party to benefit the Diabetes and Wellness Foundation. It was at a home in Alamo Square and was very tastefully produced. The event planning was done by Alison Events who do great work and most well known for their destination wedding planning services. Also, SFLuxe picked up our coverage of the party for Dutch designers Viktor Horsting & Rolf Snoeren – check it out here.
