Christian Lacroix Fashion Show

2017-07-24T20:48:27-07:00By |Categories: Uncategorized|

We don’t shoot that many fashion runaway gigs but the chronicle asked us to cover Christian Lacroix’s new line up last Friday. Although it should be like shooting fish in a barrel, with the constant light changes, i found myself challenged to capture every dress that came down the runaway. I tend to shoot in Manual mode for most of my indoor work but i found that this mode burnt me few times during this shoot!

Campari Talks

The last of this year’s Campari Talks at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts took place on Saturday. JD Samson of Le Tigre (left) and artist/writer Emily Roysden were among the panelists discussing contemporary feminist art. Seated behind a well-placed wall of Campari bottles, the artists, I’m sure well aware of the irony, repeatedly mentioned the often anti-capitalist perspective of the art –though I think it’s great when a company can use their profits to bring [...]

Winterfest – San Francisco Bike Coalition

2007-11-19T13:01:48-08:00By |Categories: Uncategorized|

The San Francisco Bike Coalition’s Winterfest is a great benefit and a good time. The bike coalition does a lot for cyclists and transit riders in the city and since most of our Orange peeps ride bikes or take transit to the studio, we benefit from the work the SFBC does. There’s an auction of bike related gear, an art show and the Extra Action Marching Band will be playing too – check it out on Sunday [...]

Mr. Neiman

Artist LeRoy Neiman made an appearance at the Franklin Bowles Gallery on Saturday where they are holding an exhibit of his Femlin works. You may know this “mischieveous female sprite” character from the Party Jokes page of Playboy magazine. Anyhow, he was a real gentleman and quite the ladies man even as an octogenarian. In this photo, he models his line of Adidas sneakers (you can get your own here). Take note the purple socks! This man [...]

Kara Saun, from season one of Project Runway (I’m eagerly awaiting season 4), was special guest at Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion launch party. Here she is (fourth from left) with some of 2007’s fresh faces.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our photo booth at San Francisco Magazine’s Best of the Bay Area party last Thursday. Among other bests, there was a dazzling go-go happy performance by local band Sugar and Gold. Jenn prefers to be behind the camera…
