We’ve said it many times before that one of the great things about shooting events is the variety of work we get to do. A last minute shoot happened (we often get last minute bookings and are almost always able to respond), and it was for our friends at City Arts & Lectures who had comedienne Sarah Silverman on the program.
As I waited backstage for her at the Palace of Fine Arts, she arrived with pretty much just her agent and boyfriend, got mic’d up, and we all had some small talk. She’s super personable and very down-to-earth. It was funny to hear some behind the scenes details about how the interview process works and affects both the interviewer and interviewee. In essence, she related it to therapy since informed interviewers often come up with pretty deep questions that make her think about her life a lot more than she might otherwise.Overall the evening was a big success and everyone seemed to get a healthy mix of insight, stories and of course comedic interludes.
