I was fortunate to photograph in the new William Kentridge galleries this weekend and gladly spent a few hours checking out the exhibit post shoot. His short stop-motion films and mini theater shows are a delight and undeniably beautiful. I was looking around the screening room and everyone had their mouths slightly agape with this sense of wonderment on their face. I highly recommend seeing the exhibit and allotting a good amount of time to explore and investigate his process. My favorites were Tide Table and the Magic Flute. Also, worth noting is the SECA Art Award exhibit with standout Tauba Auerbach, who deals a lot with type and patterns.
