Last night there was this Kelvin–Helmholtz instability (thanks Chris Noessel!) that I noticed while walking outside in the unusually balmy weather here in San Francisco. I don’t usually have my camera with me when I’m not shooting since I’ve been shooting so much of late it’s nice to be unencumbered, but it reminds me of a tip for those interested in photography: a lot of great shots are the results of serendipity. Being at the right place at the right time can lead to wonderful photo ops and this was just one such instance.
The real reason I had brought my camera was that I wanted to take some snaps at the Mates of State/Black Kids show, but ultimately only took two shots (one of which is below), since I ended up just enjoying the performances by the two groups…
