Currently up on the second floor of SFMOMA is a small exhibit documenting the teen mural project advised by (atrium artist) Kerry James Marshall. The teens, all from Oakland, conceived and painted the mural over several weeks this summer with the help of Kerry, teachers, local artists and various other adults. Here he is from a party he DJ’d in San Francisco with his then girlfriend Nicole Ritchie. I can’t say that personally I was a huge fan of his music but he was a nice guy to me and even asked personally for a copy of this photo after he saw the shot…
