Oracle OpenWorld

Challenge

Oracle OpenWorld is a massive conference with over 60,000 attendees, more than 6,500 vendors, and takes over San Francisco every year. The Oracle OpenWorld Conference Team markets to 15+ Key Partner Sponsors not including 200+ major sponsors. Orange Photography has been working with both internal Oracle OpenWorld Conference Teams and the primary conference production partner (Hartmann Studios) to capture the majority of conference photography since 2008. The conference has tripled in size since then as Oracle continues to incorporate sub conferences into OpenWorld events and a reliable partner was required to document all the elements of the production.

Solution

Orange Photography was trusted as the primary photography studio to capture all custom-produced elements of the OpenWorld and JavaOne conferences for portfolio and catalog purposes. We also were a part of exhibitor services, enabling us to provide trade show photography for registered exhibitors and capture surrounding ancillary, awards and incentive events happening throughout San Francisco. This made us available to cover any last minute reservations within the conference.  The total Orange Photography team included:

  • 1 Project Manager
  • 1 Onsite Operations Manager
  • 5 Onsite Digital Technicians
  • 16 Event Photographers

Results

  • Over 200 hours of photographic coverage were provided
  • Delivery of Images for PR Confirmation and Release within an hour of capture
  • Capture of all images for sponsors and event catalog
  • Onsite Processing and Keywording with custom keyword set for all images correlated with event calendar
  • Post-event delivery of images representing multi-million dollar sponsorships, event branding, production and general promotional experiences
