Orange got to work with the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI) on a video promoting their program and learn about their approach to creating a more peaceful, connected, and compassionate world.
Back in 2007, Google launched an internal course for its employees to practice mindfulness meditation. It’s now become one of Google’s most popular courses and has a regular waitlist of six months.
The story behind the program is that it helps people not only gain a balanced awareness of what’s happening around them, but to also gain emotional intelligence, which helps people better understand their emotions and relate to themselves and others.
The course has since transformed into a program that teaches “practical mindfulness, emotional intelligence, and leadership tools” to communities around the world.
Our shoot took place during one of SIYLI’s programs at the International House in Berkeley, California. It consisted of several interviews with the program leaders, including Teacher Development Manager Brandon Rennels. He spoke about the influence the program had on the communities they served, especially how important it is to bring mindfulness into your daily life so it can uplift the lives of the people around you.
The video crew shot B-roll of the program, interviews with our dedicated sound specialist, and utilized the footage to craft a narrative that illustrated how the program impacted the participants’ day to day professional and personal lives.
What an awesome way to make an impact on the world, we’re lucky to have the opportunity to work with inspiring organizations like SIYLI!
