Being half-Japanese, but 100% American, I’ve always been fascinated about the Japanese internment during World War II.  Since I grew up away from the West I didn’t really know anyone who was interned until I moved out to California.  Well, we were hired to shoot the opening of the new Asian Law Caucus building at the edge of North Beach & Chinatown and the daughter of Fred Korematsu who was the Japanese-American who sued the US […]

Torey & Khalid

Some people are so photogenic it just ain’t fair. Torey and Khalid are two such people. You may recognize them from some of the Engagement photos. Their beautiful ceremony took place in a Redwood clearing in Woodside, California and the sunlight filtering through the trees was so perfect for some shots it’ll just make you tingle. After tying the knot in August, these two just embarked on a year long sailing trip. Last I heard, they were chillin in the Caribbean, LIVING THE DREAM…. envious yet? Their wedding album is away at the printers right now, but I’m really looking forward to seeing the final product. They’re getting a 9″x9″ Queensberry album with flush pages. Clean, classy, just like them! Aww. We wish them the best. Photos by Vasna:

Portrait Sessions

2017-07-24T20:46:28-07:00By |Categories: Portraits|Tags: |

We probably don’t share enough of these. I was going through some of the Engagement and Portrait Sessions shot this year and thought you might like to see. Around this time of year, we get inquiries about booking creative portrait shoots for holiday gifts. Kind of different, right? For the person who has everything? We issue something like a gift certificate which can be redeemed for a customized session. These can be done in studio or on […]

I have fallen behind on posting new weddings and I know you all can not get enough of the romance, so I’ll do my best to update one per day this week. Our busy wedding season is behind us, so I’ve been designing a lot of albums lately. I just met with Andi and Jeff last week and ordered some Thank You cards for them of the last black and white shot. They’re such a fun pair […]

Nobel prize winner Muhammad Yunus

A few weeks ago we shot the Full Circle Fund which we did as part of our Social Photography program and one of the folks on hand was Nobel winner Muhammad Yunus.  He is one of the pioneers of microfinance and was a genuinely nice and humble person as well.  We’ve been so slammed of late […]

Golden Gate Bridge photo

So this past week was incredibly busy so we apologize for not updating our blog as much.

On Friday I did a shoot for Kimberly Airey, a realtor here in the Bay Area.  We did one location shot in the headlands and you can actually see Kimberly on the bottom of this frame talking to our friend Melissa who was helping out […]
