We were delighted to host the First Exposures program as the last real big ‘event’ at our old studio space at 1261 Howard in SOMA. It was a lot of fun and I think the kids got a kick out of it. Currently up on the second floor of SFMOMA is a small exhibit documenting the teen mural project advised by (atrium artist) Kerry James Marshall. The teens, all from Oakland, conceived and painted the mural over several weeks this summer with the help of Kerry, teachers, local artists and various other adults.
