We’re so glad we got to attend and shoot Coursera’s IPO launch!

It was an early morning as we were in Mountain View, CA for the opening bell at 6:30AM PST. But the day started even earlier as staff members were in the building even hours before and there was plenty of buzz to go around. Produced by Ethos Event Collective, Coursera’s normal office space was transformed and set up perfectly for a live recording.

“When I think about what we can do to build a brighter future for our children, the most important thing is to create a foundation for education. Because education is knowledge. And knowledge is human progress.” – Andrew Ng, Co-Founder

Co-founders Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng spoke at length about their vision when they started Coursera and how they wanted to create a global online learning platform that offers anyone, anywhere, access to online courses and degrees from leading universities and companies. They were joined by CEO Jeff Maggioncalda to virtually ring the Opening Bell and celebrate its IPO day.

Congrats to Coursera and their entire company for going public and making education more accessible to everyone around the world!
